Leupold GX-2 Golf Rangefinder
Leupold GX-2 Golf Rangefinder
The Leupold GX-2 Golf Rangefinder features True Golf Range technology developed by Leupold. By using a sophisticated algorithmic based software, the GX-2 is able to take slope, weather conditions, and your personal striking distance into account and tell you what club would best suit your location on the course to your measured target. The GX-2 with True Golf Range technology acts as a personal caddy to provide recommendations for club selection.
True Golf Range (TGR)
The True Golf Range technology takes into account the slope, weather conditions, and a golfer's striking distance to give you a more accurate read of how a distance might play. For example, if a marker says you have 130 yards to the pin, TGR will take into account the up hill or down hill slope, the current temperature, and altitude and the GX-2 will tell you that the target will play like 150 yards, instead of 130 yards.Club Selector
To use the Club Selector, input striking distance for three specific clubs. The GX-2 will recommend a particular club for each shot, taking into account the TGR technology, and filling in the distances of the other clubs that have not been entered into the GX-2.Pin Hunter & Prism Lock
By using advanced software and technology, the GX-2 features Pin Hunter technology. The GX-2 will lock the laser beam fired from the rangefinder onto a target and give an accurate reading of distance. The Pin Hunter technology is so sophisticated that it can accurately read a fluttering golf flag or block out the flag (or point of focus) from the other background objects to give proper yardarge readings.Prism Lock technology employs a sophisicated prism embedded in the flag sticks that are becoming more popular on golf courses. By locking onto the prism, the GX-2 will give an even more accurate yardage reading. To utilize this function, hold the top botton the the on the rangefinder down and wait for the beep. Once it beeps, the golfer knows that an accurate reading is taken. One large advantage to this is that the golfer does not need to be concerned about keeping the rangefinder aa steady while taking the reading.
Scan Mode
Scan Mode allows the golfer to see various distances in one view by holding down the Power button. The GX-2 will display the yardage to various points on the course.Fog Mode
Fog Mode on the Leupold Golf Rangefinders is a necessity that non-Leupold rangefinders may not offer. Sometimes with other rangefinders, fog can distort the yardage reading. With Fog Mode, the GX-2 will give you an accurate yardage reading even through a layer of fog.Specifications:
